Solukhumbu, April 16: Students of different VDCs including Bung, Chheskam, Gudel, Lokhim and Waku have headed towards Khumbu area to carry luggage of tourists after completing final examinations.
They have compulsion to collect money to buy their uniform and educational materials for new academic session.
Boy students of class 7, 8 and 9 have gone to Khumbu area to carry luggage of tourists as it is tourist season at Namche, Chaurikharka and Khumjung.
However, most of the students appeared in this year SLC exam has headed towards Khumbu area to make some earning. Girl students used to go to work at hotels at Khumbu area.
Pramila Rai, a student of Janata Secondary School, said, “I am heading towards Namche carrying goods of landlord. I will buy uniform from the money earned from this as my family has poor financial status.’
